SARAN is a women-only social, safety, and wellness platform designed to create a secure, respectful, and supportive digital space for women. These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines (collectively, the “Terms”), govern your access to and use of the SARAN mobile applications, website, and related services (the “Platform”).
By accessing, registering, or using SARAN, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately stop using the Platform.
SARAN reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time to comply with legal requirements, platform policies, or operational changes. Continued use of SARAN after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
SARAN is strictly intended for adult women. To use the Platform, you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and identify as a woman. SARAN does not permit access to minors or individuals who do not meet the Platform’s eligibility requirements.
To maintain a women-only environment, SARAN uses a combination of AI-based and manual verification mechanisms. Users may be required to complete facial verification or additional checks during onboarding or at any later stage. Verification data is processed securely and solely for the purpose of confirming eligibility and ensuring platform safety.
Any attempt to misrepresent identity, bypass verification systems, or access the Platform in violation of these eligibility requirements will result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of the account without prior notice.
When creating an account on SARAN, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.
SARAN will not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access caused by your failure to safeguard account information. You must notify SARAN immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
Each user is permitted to maintain only one account unless explicitly authorized by SARAN.
SARAN provides a range of social, safety, and wellness features, including but not limited to posts, S-Frames (stories), likes, comments, reposts, events, SOS safety alerts, mental and physical wellness tools, journals, trackers, and games.
Users may create and share content such as text, images, stories, or journal entries. You retain ownership of the content you create. However, by posting content on SARAN, you grant SARAN a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for operating, improving, and promoting the Platform.
This license does not grant SARAN ownership of your content and ends when your content is deleted, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate safety and compliance purposes.
SARAN is built on respect, safety, and trust. All content shared on the Platform must comply with applicable laws and community standards. Content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, exploitative, misleading, or harmful is strictly prohibited.
Content that promotes self-harm, violence, hatred, discrimination, or impersonation is not permitted. The misuse of safety features, including false SOS alerts or malicious reporting, is considered a serious violation.
SARAN reserves the right to review, remove, restrict, or disable access to any content or account that violates these Terms or poses a risk to users or the Platform.
S-Frames are short-duration story posts designed for temporary sharing. Although S-Frames may expire after a limited time, they are subject to the same content standards and moderation policies as other content on SARAN.
SARAN may review S-Frames using automated systems and human moderators. Content that violates community standards may be removed, even before its expiration period.
The SOS feature is a core safety tool designed to help users seek immediate assistance in real-world situations. Users may choose to send alerts to selected trusted contacts or nearby SARAN users within a defined radius (currently up to 2 kilometers), along with optional messages and location data.
The SOS feature must be used responsibly and only in genuine situations of concern or emergency. Any misuse, including false alarms, harassment, or repeated non-emergency use, may lead to account suspension or termination.
SARAN does not replace emergency services. Users are strongly advised to contact local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary. SARAN is not liable for outcomes resulting from reliance on the SOS feature.
SARAN allows users to create and participate in women-only events and group activities. These events are organized by users, not by SARAN. SARAN does not supervise, endorse, or guarantee the safety or quality of events or participants.
Participation in events is voluntary and at the user’s own discretion and risk. SARAN is not responsible for any disputes, injuries, losses, or incidents arising from offline interactions.
S-Journal
The S-Journal feature allows users to maintain personal journals. Journals are private by default but may be shared or posted at the user’s discretion. Shared journals become public content and must comply with platform standards.
Period Tracker and Hydration Tracker
These features allow users to track personal health-related data for informational and self-management purposes only. SARAN does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users should consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical concerns.
Mini Games
Games available on SARAN are for entertainment and relaxation purposes only. SARAN does not support real-money gambling or wagering.
SARAN uses artificial intelligence for verification, moderation, safety monitoring, spam detection, and emotional support features.
AI-based talkback or emotional support features are designed to provide general comfort and companionship. These features are not substitutes for licensed mental health professionals and do not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
Users experiencing distress, crisis, or mental health emergencies are encouraged to seek professional help or contact local support services.
Users may report content or behavior that violates these Terms. Reports are reviewed using a combination of automated systems and human moderation.
SARAN reserves the right to take enforcement actions, including content removal, feature restriction, suspension, or permanent termination of accounts. False or malicious reporting may itself result in penalties.
SARAN processes personal data in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and applicable regulations.
Data collected is used to operate the Platform, ensure safety, and improve user experience. SARAN does not sell personal data. Detailed information is provided in the Privacy Policy.
SARAN is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. SARAN is not responsible for user-generated content, offline interactions, emotional distress, loss of data, or damages beyond reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SARAN disclaims all liability arising from use of the Platform.
You agree to indemnify and hold SARAN harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
In accordance with Indian law, SARAN has appointed a Grievance Officer.

SARAN has zero tolerance for child exploitation, abuse, or endangerment.
Although SARAN is strictly for adults (18+), we actively enforce safeguards to prevent minors from accessing the platform. Any account suspected of belonging to a minor will be immediately suspended and reviewed.
Content involving sexual exploitation, grooming, trafficking, or abuse of children is strictly prohibited and will be reported to appropriate authorities in accordance with Indian law.
SARAN cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies and follows mandatory reporting obligations.
